rha14 | Original name and status (sub-alliance): Tamo communis-Viburnenion lantanae Géhu, de Foucault et Delelis 1983. This syntaxonomic concept was validly published by Géhu, de Foucault et Delelis (1983; the symposium was held in 1979) as a suballiance (Tamo communis-Viburnenion lantanae Géhu et al. 1983) and as such has been for instance accepted by Rivas-Martínez et al. 2011: 335). The Tamo communis-Viburnetum lantanae Géhu et al. ex Géhu, de Foucault et Delelis 1983 was designated as the holotypus of the suballiance. This unit deserves the status of an alliance as already suggested invalidly by J.-M. Géhu in Bardat et al. (2004: 36, ‘all prov. et stat. prov.’; ICPN art. 3b). Here we perform the valid change of the status and list the following taxa as the character taxa of the new alliance: Crataegus laevigata, Dioscorea communis, Rosa canina and Viburnum lantana. The Tamo communis-Viburnetum lantanae Géhu et al. ex Géhu, de Foucault et Delelis 1983 (Géhu et al. 1983: 467) becomes the holotypus (hoc loco) of the alliance. (L. Mucina).
