sal11 | Suaeda brevifolia Moq., used in the protologue as the eponymous species of this name, is considered in modern nomenclature (see www.emplant.org) as Suaeda vera var. brevifolia (Moq.) Rivas-Martínez and therefore should be included within the variability of Suaeda vera J.F. Gmelin. (L. Mucina).
