pol02 | In order to give this unit an ecological and floristic meaning distinct from other classes, the Eragrostio-Polygonion arenastri, Euphorbion prostratae and Polycarpo-Eleusinion indicae, should be placed here. Dengler) This step would go against the 'ecological and floristic meaning' of the Polygono arenastri-Poetalia annuae, but especially against the logic underpinning the drivers of vegetation patterns dominated by C4 plants (Čarni & Mucina 1998).
