Synonyms

• Physcietea adscendentis Tomaselli et De Micheli 1952 (Rec. 10C, 30) – phy01 Tomaselli & De Micheli (1952: 103) described the class 'Physcietea' without a taxon epithet, but containing a single order − the Physietalia adscendentis Tomaselli & De Micheli 1952. Despite several other Physcia species occur in the original diagnosis of the order, the epithet 'adscendentis' has become established for the name of the class. This practice remains, however, at variance with the regulations of the ICPN art. 10c. (H. Bültmann).
